Paul McCartney, and The Beatles said it clearly…”ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE”. But is love really all we need?

They sung it so boldly, “Nothing you can know that isn’t known.  Nothing you can see that isn’t shown.  Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be.  It’s easy.”

What exactly were they talking about?  What is love anyway?

Is love really easy?

The other Paul (the Apostle Paul) also tells us that love is pretty awesome!  But is love really patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud, not rude, not self-seeking, not easily angered? Does it really keep no record of wrongs, nor delight in evil? Does it rejoice with the truth?

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres…really?

Does love never fail, which means that it always succeeds?  REALLY?

Wow, perhaps both Pauls and The Beatles were right, and love really is the ONLY THING we need!  It would seem that way, now wouldn’t it?

Unfortunately this is not the “love” I’ve experienced. And I’m probably not the only one!

What I find interesting is that even the Bible talks more about what love ISN’T versus what love IS! It makes me think that this love thing is a whole lot more than we think it is…because most of what we think it is…it’s NOT!

So what is this “love” that never fails?

What I’ve found is that it’s not “a something”, but instead it’s a “someone”.  True love is really a someone who never leaves, never forsakes, and never fails!  True love is the Creator of all good things, and is the Keeper of them all…including the people who share in this someone called “LOVE”.

It’s also a “someone” who is willing to receive this kind of love!

I will never forget the day God reminded me that He is love, and that He is in me, and I am in Him; therefore, I AM IN LOVE!  My life has never been the same!

We’ve all felt that loving feeling of being in love…it’s a creative, energetic, joyful, and divine experience that literally people can feel and see on you!  Imagine living in this state?  Imagine if you joined in on the love fest, and allowed yourself to receive that kind of love, and be in a love that never fails?

This is definitely a LOVE that I have experienced (and do each day- Thank God)…without it, there is no other love that satisfies.  With it, love is not only infinitely satisfying and successful, but also endless and enduring!

Most often that which is in us, and often we do not find it because we are seeking it in others.

Seek first the love within you, and all else will be added onto you.  Now, that kind of love is all we need!  🙂
